Companion’s debut album Second Day of Spring is available now.

“I fell in love with the harmonies and sound of a new duo called Companion…”

About

Companion is the indie-folk duo of identical twin sisters Sophie & Jo, with roots stretched across Los Angeles, and Portland, OR.

Their debut album, Second Day Of Spring, is a towering beacon: a victorious indie-folk record that further introduces two brilliant songwriters who are also mesmerizing singers, using voices that feel light and weighted gazes that see clearly to offer the rest of us comfort in treacherous corners.

After years of national touring with their folk heroes – including Buck Meek of Big Thief, Andrew Bird, Tori Amos, Samantha Crain – Companion continues to evolve, weaving their story and sound with the same empathetic care that’s made their music a gentle refuge for so many.

“...a gorgeous, poignant folk song with lush harmonies that immediately pulls you into the sisters' world."

- Brooklyn Vegan on “If I Were A Ghost”

“Companion's music exudes a quiet, rustic glow...their previous singles show the sisters' talent for crafting cozy arrangements with soft guitar parts, gentle harmonies, and subtle lyrical and melodic turns…'Snowbank' is one of the most intimate and beautiful tracks on the record..."
